Neeps (!empty($user->lang['WROTE'])) ? $user->lang['WROTE'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'WROTE')))(!empty($user->lang['COLON'])) ? $user->lang['COLON'] : ucwords(strtolower(str_replace('_', ' ', 'COLON')))
Still I'll just buy it on principle....

Aye, i'll even buy two so seven and I can play at same time

Piracy being such a big thing for publishers and dev's these days its hardly suprising they'll take such steps such as online cd key verification of every game before you play.

Like Stoops said, there will be ways around it, the pirates just see bigger walls as a bigger challenge and I expect this one is easier to beat than most, its just tcp traffic interception and duplication.

Still I'll just buy it on principle....

Its just a pain, both CoH and Warhammer40k II are so difficult to hack that it makes them nearly up playable.

I expect a hack/mod/3rd party patch (just like every other game has one) for this.

I mean if they can do it to diablo secure servers they can handle this.

Fake battlenet program or a variety of ideas pop into mind.

Well that sucks, but it doesn't really affect me so much since I plan to play over the internet 90% of the time anyway. I guess maybe Blizzard figured: "in this day and age, what LAN party would NOT have internet access for all of the participants?" I mean, as long as you can get on the net, what's major difference between hosting a LAN game and hosting a private game over the internet? Sure, latency could be an issue, but with broadband being what it is today, I kinda doubt it would be a major problem.

Yeah, I saw this and was really surprised

I'm wagering they'll put it back in at some point

This was mentioned during Raid on Monday night, but I thought I'd repost it here. I'm really tired of good companies turning into bastards (recent examples, Valve --> Steam, Relic --> CoH patch, Blizzard --> LAN support.)
