Just throwing it out there, is anyone playing this?

For those people that don't know what terraria is, it's a 2d game using minecraft mechanics (mine, build, craft items) but is more action orientated.

I've currently got a private server running tshock that myself and taze are playing. (well taze is in the process of making a rail network) If anyone would like access just let me know.

It's not 8 bit blocks!
I get to craft things, and not strain my eyes!
I still get to spend hours building things, and then running over zombies in my mine cart

Who doesn't like running over zombies in a mine cart.

We are working with Galos/Phoenix on a server setup
We even figured out how to host multiple world types and switch between them remotely now.

It's mine craft, 2 d, with a touch more sword swinging
Still loads of crafting tables, and mods

Dunno if you can make a working computer though

I did get a linux based Terraria Server up and running on my basement computer. This means we can potentially migrate it to the SekuraServer should the interest level rise. (East coast US data center connection is better than my basement or yours desktop.) As usual these games seem to take a *huge* amount of RAM and its unlikely we can run a Terraria Server off the SekuraServer without an upgrade.

I do *not* want to override your server, Jeeks. If you're happy and able to run the server 24/7, I'm all for it. I also have little experience (yet) with running a Terraria server and don't have a lot of spare time in the next few weeks to put into learning it. This is just an option for the future.

The server address(es) for my temporary/experimental server is:
terraria2.sekuragroup.net:7777 (active within 24 hours)
orser.org:7777 (active now)
(I make no promises for the longevity of this server.)

P.S. - Jeeks please post your IP address (in a separate post) so myself and others can snag it.

One of our thoughts
Is after tweaking, figuring it out, and "console programing" jeeks server, we can take it, wrap it up, and replace the new one you setup with those files
Apparently you are running tshock with mono?

So the base tshock files are the same

So we are experimenting with mods/plugins/etc before we make that work.
